Cedar Park City Manager Brenda Eivens was recently recognized as the Central Texas Public Administrator of the Year by the American Society for Public Administration Central Texas chapter.
In 2011, Cedar Park was named the second-safest city in Texas and selected as a “Top 10 Place to Raise a Family” by Family Circle magazine.
Celebrated since 1985, Public Service Recognition Week is a nationwide public education campaign honoring the men and women who serve the nation as federal, state, county and local government employees.
Eivens will be honored May 10 during a PSRW awards ceremony and banquet at the historic Green Pastures Restaurant in the Cotillion Room in South Austin. Awards for excellence in public administration research will also be presented. Reservations for the event may be made at www.centexaspa.org.
