  • Waste of money

    It seems to me that this is not a good use of federal tax money (and is really rather indicative of whats wrong with both Washington DC and it's political inhabitants). The article does not state any reason for the removal other than habitat restoration. This is being treated as if it is always a good thing. If the people of Galveston were to have their beachfront undergo such a restoration, I think that would be seen as a bad thing. I would be interested to see if it was determined what the impact would have been (ecologically) to leave it as is vs going through this taxpayer funded "restoration" process; a cost benefit analysis as it were.

  • Aquarena spring theatre removal

    Very interesting, informative and well written article I was not aware of the removal of the submarine theatres. I am somewhat sad to see them removed. We have spent may days there with my children, grandchildren and friends. Thank you for keeping us up to date. Look forward to finding out from future articles how the next removal goes and how things change from there.
