Johnson said the restaurant will have some Chinese food on the menu but will focus on Japanese cuisine with a sushi bar and hibachi items. There will also be a large selection of cooked dishes on the menu, and Johnson said the restaurant will serve low-sodium sauces and fresh produce.
Johnson said Wasabi Japanese & Chinese will offer an intimate dining atmosphere for restaurant goers.
“It’s going to be a very inviting environment,” she said.
The restaurant will have a lunch and dinner menu, and Johnson said a professional sushi chef will be on staff.
Wasabi Japanese & Chinese is in the process of obtaining its liquor license and plans to serve saké, beer and wine.
