Another retail project will soon be under way in Cedar Park, as Chris Whitworth of Cap City Partners said the company purchased approximately 1.5 acres from Tesch and Associates to build a retail center at Whitestone Boulevard and Toll 183A. Whitworth said the project—which is across the street from 1890 Ranch and close to a future Costco location announced Dec. 9—is already 70 percent leased.

"We plan to start construction around Feb. 1 and turn over the building in probably June or July of this year," Whitworth said.

Sleep Experts, Sprint, Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches and Del Taco have already signed leases to occupy the 13,000-square-foot retail center, which will have a drive-thru. Whitworth said Cap City closed on the approximately 1.5-acre property, located between Tower Car Wash and Frost Bank, at the end of 2011.

The same architecture firm that designed 1890 Ranch, Enviroplan Architects, designed the building.

The Cedar Park City Council approved a variance for the property at its Nov. 3, 2011, meeting.

I am so excited! Being a California native I have missed Del Taco. Can't wait for it to open. Even though I will have to drive from Salado I will be making that trip.

As a local business owner, I would love to know who to contact about possibly opening a coffee/shop cafe in this development.
