Representatives from the county, City of Hutto and City of Taylor gathered June 14 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the portion of Hwy. 79 just east of Hutto to CR 402 west of Taylor.
The $12 million Williamson County project used TxDOT pass-through financing to expand the roadway to a four-lane divided road with a median.
The ceremony was held off of Limmer Loop near Hwy. 79.
