A flash mob of about 20 people gathered at City Hall plaza May 30 to raise awareness about emergency preparedness.
The Austin Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management hosted the event, in conjunction with Dance Austin Studio, located in North Austin.
"There is nothing fun about planning for emergencies," spokeswoman Candice Wade Cooper said in a statement. "However, planning ahead saves lives."
