Southwestern University will offer free college readiness workshops and low-cost SAT preparation classes in September, October and November for high school students and parents.

The workshops include sessions on finding the right college and planning for the PSAT and SAT. Preparation classes for the Dec. 1 SAT cost $395 for 11 sessions that will cover SAT sections and pretests.

Covers PSAT layout, National Merit Scholarships and the test's connection to the SAT

• Nov. 14, 6 p.m.

Having a game plan for the SAT

Covers the layout of the SAT, how to prepare and how to use PSAT data to identify strengths and weaknesses
