More than 2,000 county contracts can now be viewed online through Williamson County's website.
The database was made available by the county auditor's office and includes approximately 2,200 contracts the county has negotiated for services ranging from road improvements to animal services. Most of the contracts are dated from October 2009 to the present and are organized by service or product type.
During the Aug. 14 Commissioners Court meeting, County Auditor David Flores said the effort was a collaboration between his office and the county's information technology department.
"I've been excited to make this announcement," he said, adding that the database is meant to promote the "highest spirit of transparency" in county government.
The database can be accessed by visiting the county auditor's page at www.wilco.org.
