Williamson County Judge Dan Gattis repealed a countywide burn ban after a Commissioners Court meeting Aug. 21.
The court implemented the ban during its meeting Aug. 7. Despite Gattis' decision to lift the restrictions, he said recent rains have not been enough to fully dampen wildfire concerns.
"We'll monitor that as close as we can. Hopefully we'll continue to get rain," he said.
The court will readdress the ban at its Aug. 28 meeting to determine if conditions call for its reinstatement.
