County parking garage could reopen in August 2013
Williamson County commissioners could seek construction bids this fall for repairs to the parking garage located between Third, Fourth and Rock streets.
Repairs to the garage, which was closed in January 2011 due to structural instability, are expected to be completed by August 2013.
The Georgetown City Council extended a parking agreement with the county to allow parking on the east side of Martin Luther King Drive.
According to a memo from City Manager Paul Brandenburg, the county would talk to neighbors about permanently allowing parking on the east side of the street.
