Updated with location of store
Rumors about H&M opening a store in Austin have been swirling for months, but only now have been confirmed.
A spokeswoman for Simon Property Group, which manages The Domain, said the Swedish apparel and accessories retailer is planning to open its first Austin store at the Northwest Austin shopping center and has already signed a lease.
The store will be located in the former Z Gallerie space at 11401 Century Oaks Terrace, Ste. 137, which is at the Esperanza Crossing intersection.
"We constantly strive to tailor our tenant mix to our diverse market and know H&M will be a welcomed addition," Lauren Krumlauf, area director of marketing for Simon Property Group, said in a statement.
Z Gallerie, a home decor and furnishings retailer, relocated to 10000 Research Blvd., Ste. 118, at the Arboretum, in June.
