Board President Chad Chadwell confirmed June 21 that he would run in the November election to keep his Place 2 seat. Chadwell said he would make an announcement at the board of trustees meeting, beginning at 6 p.m.
Chadwell was appointed to the board in 2008 to fill a vacant seat. In 2009, He kept his seat against challenger Gunnar Ristroph, capturing 60 percent of the vote.
Place 7, held by Bobby Seiferman, is also up for election. Seiferman said April 18 he would not seek another term on the board of trustees. The terms for trustees elected in 2012 will end in 2016.
