Mother and daughter team Crystal Mills and Shellie Divin opened Celebrations and Sweet Creations in 2007, and they have served custom cupcakes, wedding and birthday cakes and cookies ever since. The women offer homemade cupcake flavors such as snickerdoodle, red velvet and Italian cream.

The Cupcakery - The Woodlands

Double P Bakery - Magnolia

This Magnolia bakery offers regular, mini, jumbo and princess jumbo cupcakes, which can differ in flavor based on the day of the week. Several cupcake flavors are available daily—including country carrot, Texas red velvet and chocolate madness—but flavors such as pink lemonade, turtle brownie and funny bone are rotated throughout the week. If it’s not cupcakes you desire, Double P also makes cake pops, brownies, popcorn and cookies.

Frost Bake Shoppe - The Woodlands

Owner Terese Yates’ Frost Bake Shoppe has been featured on The Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars,” and her formula has proven so successful, she recently opened a second Frost Bake Shoppe on Waterway Avenue. Frost rotates 35 freshly baked cupcakes throughout the year and features such flavors as 24 carrot, blueberry cheesecake, cookies and cream and margarita.

Forest Cafe and Bakery - The Woodlands

Soups, salads and sandwiches may be the main fare for the busy doctors and nurses that work at the nearby hospitals, but in-the-know Woodlands residents know the draw to this homey diner is baker Britt Muhammad’s sweet creations. In addition to cookies, brownies, cakes and scones, Muhammad treats her customers to some of The Woodlands’ most delectable cupcake flavors. Frosted – Northwest Houston

Show Cakes Houston - Northwest Houston

Customers can place special orders for cupcakes decorated with cartoon characters, animals, holiday themes and sports team logos at Show Cakes in Cypress. Previous designs have included makeup, peace sign, flower and Super Mario decorations. The bakery also hosts private birthday parties for children, in which each participant gets to decorate a small cake.

Suzybeez Cakez N Sweetz – Northwest Houston

Located in Vintage Park, this cupcake bakery is the perfect stop after a long day of shopping. Treat! offers more than a dozen original flavors, ranging from white velvet to confetti to key lime. They even offer pupcakes, or cupcakes made for dogs. Treat! also has daily specials, which range from the cherry bomb—chocolate cake filled with cherry jam and topped with cream cheese frosting, ganache and a cherry—to salted caramel, which includes chocolate cake filled with salted caramel, vanilla butter cream frosting and caramel drizzle.
