Pflugerville High School Math Teacher Mary Pennington won the National Laying Founation Teacher of the year award. LTF is a division of the National Math and Science initiative that aims to improve the instruction of math, science and English through teacher-to-teacher training. Recipients of this award will be presented a prize of $2,000 and a new iPad at a banquet on May 5 at the Omni Dallas Hotel Park West in Dallas. "I have the greatest job in the world, and I am very forntunate to be able to make a positive impact in my student's lives," Pennington said in a news release. www.ltftraining.org
