For the ninth consecutive year, San Marcos CISD has been awarded a Loss Prevention Grant from the Texas Association of School Board’s Risk Management Fund.

Shevis Moore, TASB representative, told San Marcos CISD trustees at the May 21 meeting that the district had earned a $4,000 award.

The funds will purchase wooden platform carts that will help teachers, staff, administrators, and any employee who has to lift or handle heavy objects. The carts will help the safe transportation of equipment, boxes, books and other items.

Moore complimented the work in the grant application put forth by district staff Alicia Guenther, Flo Velasquez, Robert Gutierrez and Jason Gossett.
