Sunset Valley Farmers Market moves, new market added

In a surprise announcement, the Sunset Valley Farmers Market is changing its name to Barton Creek Farmers Market and will locate to a location at Barton Creek Square Mall, in the parking lot near Dillard’s. The market, which made the announcement Mar. 15, opens for business this Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be open every Saturday year-round rain or shine, as it had operated previously.

The Octopus Project to play free rooftop show at Whole Foods

Austin band The Octopus Project will perform an audio-visual project called HEXADECAGON—the geometrical term for a 16-sided shape—at a pair of free, all ages shows Friday, March 19 on the rooftop of Whole Foods Market in downtown, at Sixth Street and Lamar Boulevard. The first performance will be at 7:30 p.m. and the second at 9:30 p.m. Tickets will be passed out starting at 6 p.m.
