Austin Restaurant Week kicks off this weekend

Starting Sunday, area residents can dine at more than 60 Austin restaurants for a fraction of the normal cost. Founded by Rare magazine, Austin Restaurant Week coordinates fixed three-course dinners at established and new eateries from $25–$35 and lunches for $10–$15. The biannual event, which follows the national restaurant week trend, began in 2007 with the idea that eating out shouldn’t always mean stretching your wallet.
Car2go program partners with Livestrong

City employees won’t be the only ones driving around town in those white and blue smart cars seen parked around downtown. The car2go program announced today it would expand its services to Livestrong employees, according to a release.

The Austin City Council will review two economic development proposals that could bring more jobs to Austin. The first is an agreement with Facebook and could bring 200 jobs. The second is with Yingli Green Energy Americas Inc., which could create 303 jobs.
