Located at the southeast corner of Burnet Road and Koenig Lane, Broadacres is part of Brentwood. Annexed to the city in 1946, the area is close to many businesses and facilities, including the Yarborough Branch Library.

The subdivision is part of Tarrytown, named after Tarrytown, N.Y. Platted in the 1920s, Monte Vista means “mountain view” in Spanish. Bowman Avenue and Windsor Roads were two of the first streets in the early suburban area.
