Austin's Benedict starts work as chief of national Libertarian Party

Austinite Wes Benedict starts work this week as Executive Director of the Libertarian National Committee at the LNC's quarterly meeting in St. Louis, Mo.

The former head of the Libertarian Party of Texas will move directly to the party's headquarters in Washington, D.C., according to a news release from the party. Robert Butler replaced Benedict as head of the state party at the beginning of the year.
