Many of the artists who exhibited at the now-closed Main Street Gallery in Grapevine have moved down the street to the new Giddens Gallery of Fine Art, which opened in October.

Artist and owner Cherie Giddens was a resident artist at Main Street Gallery. She and others moved to her new gallery on the ground level of the Grapevine Convention and Visitor Bureau, 624 W. Main St., www.giddensgallery.com.

Giddens said some 30 artists are represented at her new gallery, including painters, book illustrators, art teachers and sculptors. Some formerly exhibited at Main Street Gallery and all, she said, have been recognized in juried art shows.

Giddens said she'll be planning more events like a reception with wine and hors d'oeuvres scheduled from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Jan. 26 for artists Fred and Rosemary Achelpohl. The couple both work in oils.

Former Main Street Gallery owner Dominique Galleron has opened her own studio, A Touch of Paris, at 202 W. Wall St., www.atouchofparisgallery.com.
