  Stephen F. Austin statue

  The South Austin Civic Club's latest initiative is to raise funds to erect a statue of Stephen F. Austin to replace a statue that was destroyed in 1995 on South Congress Avenue. A model of the statue was on display at the club's 2012 banquet.
