    If you have never been to Commons Ford (CoFo) or if its been years since you have birded the park, then you’re in for a treat. CoFo is one of the most diverse parks in the Austin PARD system with a variety of habitats and a park list of 215 species. There are two special field trips for those who have not birded the park before. Priority will be given to CoFo first timers or those who have seldom visited the park on a TAS field trip.

    Expect plenty of wintering sparrows along with an array of woodpeckers, wrens, other wintering birds and the regulars, but the park has turned up plenty of surprises so you never know what to expect. Both of these trips will likely fill quickly, so act fast. Registration is required and group size is limited to 14 participants per day. To register contact Ed Fair at ezflaw@sbcglobal.net.
