    The ALS Association, Texas Chapter will host the Walk to Defeat ALS on Saturday, November 3, 2012. Walkers will gather at StoneBridge Church in The Woodlands. Check-in is at 9 am. The walk begins at 10 am. Walkers can walk 1 to 3 miles. Register to walk, make a donation, or set up a Walk Team at www.alsa-texas.org. There will be entertainment for the entire family, food, and beverages.

    Teams walk in honor or memory of loved ones with Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Area businesses sponsoring the walk are: BHP Billiton, Tree Frog Wooden Swing Sets, Custom Healthcare, Adaptive Driving Access, Alliance Seating and Mobility, Sports Authority, Electromed, Reach Care Group, and Univar, USA.,

    Walk to Defeat ALS® is held annually in over 150 locations nationwide. The Association provides patient services through The ALS Clinic at Baylor College of Medicine, support groups, respite care, equipment loan program, and support and education for those dealing with Lou Gehrig’s Disease, public policy/advocacy, and international research.
