Newspaper recognized with 11 national awards

Community Impact Newspaper earned 11 awards in the National Newspaper Association’s 2009 Better Newspaper Contest and Better Newspaper Advertising Contest during its convention Sept. 26.
The NNA is made up of more than 2,400 community newspapers. The Better Newspaper Contest and the Better Newspaper Advertising Contest recognize achievement in writing, advertising and design.
Staff recognitions included:
Shannon Colletti, best business story, 1st place; best business feature story, 3rd place
Patrick Brendel, best agricultural story, 1st place
Amy Stansbury, best business story, 2nd place
Eric Pulsifer, best business story, 3rd place
Tiffany Young, Heather Wills, excellence in typography, 3rd place
Ellie Burke, best use of local photography, 1st place
Alison Lyons, best single ad idea, 2nd place
Elizabeth Janson, best small-page ad, 3rd place
Lisa Rehbein, best use of ad color, 3rd place
Tiffany Knight, best single ad idea, honorable mention
