Emergency Service District board members needed in Williamson County

Williamson County has openings on several county Emergency Service Districts boards. ESDs are political subdivisions of the State of Texas that may provide local emergency services, including rural fire prevention and control services.

The county has the following volunteer board positions to fill: Precinct 1 in ESD No. 1, who contract with the Jollyville Fire Department; ESD No. 2, who contract with the Sam Bass Fire Department; ESD No. 9, who contract with the Round Rock and Sam Bass Fire Departments; Precinct 3 ESD No. 5 in Jarrell; ESD No. 8, who contract with the Georgetown Fire Department. The county will be accepting applications for these volunteer positions until the positions are filled. To be eligible, an individual must live or own property within the ESD and have experience in business, financial management and fire protection.
