City of Hutto hosts Thanksgiving canned food drive

City of Hutto employees are reaching out to families in the Hutto community who are in need of help throughout the year, especially with the current economic challenges. The city is working to make sure that no one goes hungry on Thanksgiving. In order to accomplish this goal, the city is holding a Thanksgiving canned food drive from Nov. 16 to Nov. 23.
HUTTO — Hutto area residents and businesses are encouraged to bring items of canned food or dry goods to city hall, 401 W. Front St.; the library, 205 West St.; the parks and recreation department 306 E. Live Oak St.; community development, 409 W. Front St., Ste. 200 and public works, 401A W. Front St.
City employees will deliver items collected from the Thanksgiving canned food drive to the Hutto Lutheran Church Food Pantry Nov. 24. The Hutto Lutheran Church is located at 402 Church St. For more information, call 759-4030.
