Longtime Georgetown Realtor moves from urban to suburban

GEORGETOWN — Georgetown Realtor Marcy Urban is moving Urban Homes and Land, 1102 S. Austin Ave., Ste. 106, away from the Square in early February.

“It is with great sadness that I leave downtown Georgetown,” Urban said.

Her lease was up at the South Austin Avenue location a year ago, but landlord Lee McIntosh extended her contract while she looked for a new site. She considered other downtown locations, but decided relocating to 204 S. IH 35, Ste., 201 near Williams Drive would be a good business move.

“It doesn’t make sense for me to stay in the part of Georgetown that I love the most,” she said, explaining that she can rent more space for a less expensive price and potentially get more exposure.

At 6,700 sq. ft., Urban expects the new location will better house her staff of 14 agents. After the move, two more agents will come on board and specialize in golf properties.

Urban has been a Realtor in Georgetown for 11 years, specializing in commercial and residential real estate, including ranch land.
