HUTTOHutto residents have a chance to voice their concerns or questions about the city in which they live with a council member tomorrow.

The event is part of Hutto’s long-standing Saturday Chat Session with a Council Member tradition. Tomorrow, council member Veronica “Ronnie” Quantanilla-Perez will host the session in the council chambers at City Hall, 401 W. Front St., from 9-11 a.m. She will be available to take any questions or comments that relate to Hutto in an open, relaxed setting.

“The council was wanting to make themselves more available to the public,” said Debbie Chelf, Hutto city secretary. “People come in with new concerns about a street or a sidewalk, and then that information is relayed back to the city manager.”

The deadline is also nearing for those who wish to run for city council.

March 8 is the deadline for residents who wish to run for a place on the council or to challenge Mayor David Begier for his seat on the dais.

Residents interested in running for Places 2, 3, 6 or for mayor can pick up a candidate packet at City Hall.

Call Chelf at 759-4033 for more information.
