NORTHWEST AUSTIN — Travis County firefighters, including a crew of four from Pflugerville and an engine from Lake Travis, were the first on the scene.
The crews were in hazardous materials training at the Dave & Busters parking lot with other Travis County ESD firefighters and witnessed the crash. They immediately began to assist with rescue. Pflugerville Fire Chief Ron Moellenberg said it was a Lake Travis fire engine that was first to begin pouring the water on the building.
"Our guys went to assist with initial evacuation and worked with the Austin Fire Department for the building search and were the first on the scene," Moellenberg said.
