Seton, St. David's competing for STAR Flight headquarters

Travis County Commissioners are considering competing bids from Austin's two hospital systems to decide where to base the Austin–Travis County EMS System's STAR Flight helicopters. Both Seton Family of Hospitals and St. David's HealthCare have offered to pay for a new facility.

Phase one of medical plaza complete

After 10 months of construction, the Austin Avenue Medical Plaza celebrated the grand opening of its 100,000 sq. ft. medical complex at 3201 S. Austin Ave. Nov. 19. The facility is 90 percent leased with four tenants moving in this month: CPA Barrick & Company LLC, Urology Associates of Williamson County, Foot Associates of Central Texas LLC and Central Texas Surgical Associates.
