Williamson County Precinct One Commissioner Lisa Birkman and precinct four commissioner Ron Morrison broke ground June 26 on improvements to approximately two miles of CR 111, also known as Westinghouse Road.
The $5.86 million project will include the reconstruction of the two-lane rural roadway to a divided/undivided roadway from Hewlett Loop to FM 1460.
“This will be a big improvement for this rapidly growing area of the county,” Birkman said. “Thank you to the voters who approve the road bonds in 2006 for this and other much needed road improvements.” Construction is expected to last two years.
