Several months ago, a vacant grocery store site sat primed for development at the corner of Jones and West roads. On Oct. 17, an H-E-B store is slated to open in that same shopping center at 9503 Jones Road.
The 62,000-square-foot store will have a meat market, full-service seafood department, produce department, full-service deli, bakery, drive-thru pharmacy and floral department. Customers will be able to find sandwiches, specialty salads, sushi, guacamole, cake and bread made on-site daily at the new store, according to H-E-B.
“We are thrilled to offer customers along the [Hwy.] 290 corridor area a convenient option to serve this growing community, providing unrivaled freshness, quality, variety and outstanding service with the lowest prices possible,” said Sam Arciniega, unit director for the store.
The larger H-E-B Fairfield Market, which will be about 100,000 square feet and similar to the store at Barker Cypress and Hwy. 290, is also under construction and slated to open Nov. 14 near Mason Road and Hwy. 290.
Job openings for both locations can be found at www.heb.com/page/about-us/company/careers.
