Each week at On the Town, we bring you posts on live music, events and recently opened restaurants in the area. Here's what we'll be covering this week:
• The Woodlands Labor Day festivities – Waterway Square in The Woodlands will be the site for Celebrate Labor Day on Sept. 1 and 2. The event features live music, face painting, balloon artists, street vendors and a fireworks show at dusk.
• Roosters – Rooster's, a new restaurant in Cypress that combines food and golf, officially opened earlier this month in Fairfield.
• Aloha! Welcome Bash! – A preview of Lone Star College Cy-Fair's campus-wide Luau held at the Fairbanks Center for new and returning students.
• Ron's Hamburgers & Chili, a Tulsa-based eatery known for its award-winning chili, opens its first Texas location in Tomball this week. We'll be there to see if it lives up to the hype.
