Just Opened

WESTLAKE1. Twin Liquors Marketplace, a family-owned business serving Austin since 1937, opened recently in the Hill Country Galleria, 3925 Market St. The store offers wine and liquor selections and custom gifts. 3. Recently the City of Bee Cave opened its $4.5 million, 50-acre Bee Cave Central Park between RM 620 and Hwy. 71 near the Hill Country Galleria. The park includes two covered pavilions, playscapes, two miles of walking trails, sport courts, an enclosed dog park and a disc golf course. Visit www.beecavetexas.com.

4. Newflower Farmers Market, 12700 Shops Parkway, Ste. 300, will open its second Austin-area store at the Hill Country Galleria Feb. 10. Its first Central Texas location opened in southwest Austin last year at 6920 Manchaca Road. The full-service grocery chain offers consumers natural and organic products. Lakeway

New Location

5. Family-owned Flores Mexican Restaurant relocated its Lakeway restaurant late December from 1310 FM 620 S. to 2127 Lohmans Crossing Road, Ste. 318 in the Lakeway Town Center. The new, 4,200 sq. ft. restaurant seats 138 guests inside and is building a patio for additional seating. 6. The PJ Shop Style Lounge recently relocated to the Lakeway Town Center at 2127 Lohmans Crossing Road, Ste. 312. It is locally owned by Shelley Grabowski and Lisa Ray and has been selling women’s sleepwear, loungewear, T-shirts, jewelry and accessories for five years in Lakeway. 7. Previously located at 303 N. FM 620 in Bee Cave, Busters BBQ will reopen in April at the Lakeway Town Center, 2127 Lohman’s Crossing Road, Stes. 400 and 404. The restaurant is a locally owned corporation with Tim and Marilyn Cook as shareholders. Serving barbecue and sides, the restaurant will seat about 70 guests inside and 30 to 40 guests on its deck. The future location of the [a] Lake Travis Community Library is under construction at the corner of Lohmans Crossing Road and Lohmans Spur Road, around the corner from its current location at the Lohman’s Crossing Shopping Center, [b] 2300 Lohmans Spur, Ste. 100. 14. The City of Rollingwood approved a change to its walking trail, which is under construction, at Rollingwood Park. The trail will cross the parking lot instead of bypassing it and will be altered to ensure it allows wheelchair accessibility. Volunteers will do much of the work on the project. 15. Leander Independent School District will open Vandegrift High School in Steiner Ranch at 9700 McNeil Drive this fall. The fifth LISD high school opened Vandegrift’s campus to ninth and 10th grade students this year, but students are attending class at Four Points Middle School, a campus near the location of the new high school. 16. Mathnasium of Steiner Ranch opened Jan. 29 at 4308 N. Quinlan Park Road, Ste. 215. A grand opening celebration is set for Feb. 20. 17. Embellish Nails and Boutique will open a location at Westlake Court Shopping Center, 3663 Bee Cave Road, Ste. 3, in mid-February. Local owners Wendy Tursch and Lisa McQueen opened the first location in Austin’s The Triangle in March 2008 after meeting at the University of Texas’ McCombs School of Business.
