1. Stop in and go
Parmer Market recently opened at the Shops at Silverado, 12920 W. Parmer Lane. The store sells beer, wine, snacks, sodas and other items. Hours are Mon.-Thu. 6 a.m.-11 p.m., Fri.-Sat. 6 a.m.-midnight and Sun. 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Call 259-2258.
2. Rehab and chiro
Advanced Rehabilitation opened recently at 715 Discovery Blvd., Ste. 510. Chiropractor Seth Wagenblass and Mark Malone, M.D., treat patients at the clinic, which is open Mon. 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Tue. noon-6 p.m., Wed. 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Thu. noon-6 p.m. and Fri. 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Advanced Rehabilitation specializes in chiropractic, physical therapy, sports injuries, pain care and massage therapy. 3. ”Roadhouse” cuisine
Cedar Park now has even more choices for dining, with the addition of restaurateur Scotty Stroup’s Tijuana Roadhouse at 200 Buttercup Creek, Ste. 130. The restaurant seats 180 and serves burgers, fried St. Louis ribs, barbecue tacos and onion rings as well as appetizers and desserts. The full bar has premium brands used for well drinks. Hours are Sun.-Thu. 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and Fri.-Sat. 11 a.m.-midnight. Call 258-1888.
4. New Railyard restaurant
Scotty Stroup also opened 1431 Café in the Railyard shopping center at 601 E. Whitestone Blvd. The location was formerly home to Traxx Restaurant. The new establishment will seat 90 and serves breakfast food all day in addition to lunch and dinner options. Hours are 6:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. daily. Call 528-0018.
5. Keller Williams’ new digs
Keller Williams Realty is opening an office in 1890 Ranch, 1335 E. Whitestone Blvd., Ste. Z200. The office should be open by mid April and will have more than 50 agents available to help homebuyers. 6. Tangorra moves
Tangorra Insurance recently moved its office from Discovery Boulevard to 1101 Arrowpoint Drive, Ste. 301. The company needed more space to accommodate its staff and serve its customers’ commercial, personal, liability, health and vehicle insurance needs. 7. Fiberglass fixers
Ron Poole and Jimmy Lucas recently opened Pirate Marine at 2301 W. Whitestone Blvd., Ste. E1. Pirate Marine handles complete fiberglass repair and restoration for boats, jet skis and RVs. 8. Railroad relocation
The Austin Steam Train Association recently relocated its headquarters from Brazos Street in downtown Austin to 401 E. Whitestone Blvd., Ste. A103. 9. New park
Cedar Park opened its newest sports facility March 7. Brushy Creek Sports Park, 2310 Brushy Creek Road, occupies a 54-acre tract and features two lighted baseball/softball fields, two lighted soccer/football fields, a practice field, outdoor exercise equipment, a playscape, a portion of the regional trail and a historical marker, according to the city. 10. Tradin’ out
Winkley’s Tradin’ Post, at the southwest corner of FM 1431 and US 183, has made some changes recently. The store’s owners decided to focus more on the consignment end of the business and are phasing out the plumbing and hardware supplies they carried, citing increased availability of those items at other retailers. 11. New chiropractic center
Fit 4 Life Wellness Center, 930 S. Bell Blvd., Ste. 204, is planning a grand opening ceremony April 2. Thomas Bynes, D.C., will head the clinic, which will offer chiropractic, massage therapy, nutritional advice, exercise training and eventually acupuncture treatment. 12. Strong Kids Campaign
In late February, YMCA of Greater Williamson County and Twin Lakes Family YMCA, 204 E. Little Elm Trail, kicked off the Strong Kids Campaign, which raises money to fund children’s participation in its sports classes, after-school programs and summer camps. 13. Preschool programs
Rising Stars Preschool moved its campus to 3307 El Salido Parkway from 10713 FM 620 in Austin. The school is enrolling students 22 months to 5 years old for summer and fall programs. 14. Gluten-free food
Anyone who is on a diet that restricts gluten or dairy intake has another option for convenient food. Food For Life Network, LLC opened in late February at 2051 Cypress Creek Road, Ste. L. 15. Restaurant/retail space
The Bradshaw Group is building a 17,000 sq. ft. retail and restaurant development at 1907 S. US 183, at the corner of County Glen Street and US 183. It should be finished in April. A 3,500 sq. ft. pad site will also likely be added in about a year and will be available for lease or purchase. Base lease prices will be $20-$22 per sq. ft. 16. Southern hospitality
John and Ben Southern are opening Southern’s Pizza and Sports Pub at 1805 US 183. The owners plan to open in early April and will feature high definition TVs, antique sports memorabilia and games, along with beer, wine, salads, sandwiches, wings and pizza. Southern’s will open at 11 a.m. daily; a closing time has not been set. Seating for about 40 people is available indoors and another 40 can fit on the patio. Call 259-2699.
17. Coffee craving
Starbucks opened the first week of March at 1805 US 183. The shop seats 23 people and has a drive-though window. Hours are Mon.-Fri. 5 a.m.-10 p.m. and 6 a.m.-11 p.m. Sat. and Sun. Call 259-5941.
18. Trading spaces
Standard Pacific Homes moved offices in early March. The old location was on Research Boulevard. The home builder’s new office is at the Crossings at Lakeline, 11001 Lakeline Blvd., Bldg. 1, Ste. 100. Office hours are Mon.-Fri. 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Call 506-4000 or visit www.standardpacifichomes.com.
19. Dog rescue
The Austin Dog Alliance Training and Adoption Center opened Valentine’s Day at 12129 RR 620, Ste. 401. The center rescues dogs from kill facilities, offers a range of dog training and also trains dogs and owners in pet therapy. Volunteers take dogs to schools, libraries, hospitals and retirement homes. Anyone interested in volunteering or adopting a dog can call 335-7100 or visit www.austindogalliance.org.

Image Tile and Carpet, which opened in May 2008 at 1335 E. Whitestone Blvd., Ste. E200, ceased operations and filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in February. There were seven locations in the Austin area.
