1. New title office to open

2. Open house celebration

Motherboard maker Corvalent, Inc. hosted an open house celebration May 21 with a tour of its new 24,000 sq. ft. manufacturing center. The company, 1101 Arrowpoint Drive, moved 20 employees from its former headquarters in Silicon Valley where it operated for the past 16 years. 3. Ergonomic computer devices

For more than 10 years, Goldtouch, Inc. has been designing, making and marketing computer peripherals that reduce operator fatigue, discomfort and injury. The manufacturer moved to 1101 Arrowpoint Drive, Ste. 401 in Cedar Park from Austin March 26. Goldtouch launched a new mobile keyboard in June. Call 259-5688 or visit www.goldtouch.com.

4. Workout anytime

Anytime Fitness offers its customers a 24-hour gym with the latest exercise equipment, members-only showers and tanning beds. Another location, at 2301 Lakeline Blvd., opened June 1. 5. Medical spa moves

Beautiful Solutions reopened June 1 after moving from the Wind River Medical Plaza near Duval Road and US 183. Services also include Botox and Juvederm treatments to reduce facial wrinkles and folds. 6. Floor shop opens

Floor & Design, which opened in May at 2001 N. Bell Blvd., sells residential and commercial floor coverings, including carpet, tile, hardwood and laminate. The retail shop also sells its own line of laminate and hardwood called Serenity Flooring. The store offers warranties and custom installations. 7. Trading to consignments

Cedar Park’s longtime trading post, Winkley’s, 909 N. Bell Blvd., is now Austin’s Consignment Depot. The new owner, Adam Block, sells new and consignment furniture along with indoor and outdoor accessories. Many prices are negotiable. 8. New bike shop opens

Christine and Mark Bittman named their new bicycle shop after their 14-year-old daughter, Alexa Jade. AJ’s Cyclery opened May 3 at 10019 W. Parmer Lane. The store sells mountain, road, custom, comfort and BMX bikes. A mechanic with more than 20 years experience is on staff. 9. Customer is king

Inspired by former President Bill Clinton’s association with Pho, Hung Nguyen opened a restaurant at 500 Cypress Creek Road in May. Rather than use the word “president,” Nguyen chose a royal name for the eatery: King Noodle. The restaurant serves traditional Vietnamese dishes and sushi. The 125-seat restaurant is known for its bun dishes, sushi and fried rice made with Japanese rice. Open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. every day. Call 219-0006.

10. Ladies’ clothing store opens

Arttie Casual, an upscale woman’s clothing store opened June 13 at 1890 Ranch shopping center, 1335 E. Whitestone, Ste. D115. The shop sells junior and misses, sizes 0-13 and clothing in casual and dressy styles. Customers can also buy jewelry, shoes, purses and accessories. 11. More breakfast options

Those who struggle to pay credit cards or other unsecured debt may call Latitude Debt Settlement. The home-based office in Cedar Park offers a way to pay off debts, often at 50 cents or more on the dollar. AustexMedia recently launched 27 web portals where users can find, share and publish community information. 12. Help End Hunger Campaign

H-E-B Plus!, in partnership with Capital Area Food Bank, is conducting its annual H-E-B Help End Hunger Campaign to benefit local food pantries. Coupons for Help End Hunger are available at the checkout in $1, $3 or $5 amounts through June 28. The cashier will scan the coupon, and the amount will be added to grocery bills. 13. Fire Station No. 3

City officials and members of the business community participated in a groundbreaking for Fire Station No. 3 near the intersection of Sonny Drive and US 183. Plans call for the station, which will be built next to the police station, to be complete and operational within about 12 months. The station will include a learning center for in-house training. 14. Communication solutions

Cricket Communications, 1805 S. US 183, Ste. 300, next to Starbucks and Southern’s Pizza, opened June 1. Cricket provides communications solutions for the mass consumer market. Bikes patrols

Even though police bicycle patrols started two years ago, a new part-time bike patrol unit of nine Leander Police Department officers started their beat in time for school summer break. Bike patrol officers will focus on car burglary and curfew violations at night. The unit is soliciting requests from groups for bicycle safety courses and bike rodeos. The police department encourages bike owners to register their bicycles’ serial number with the city, increasing the chance a missing bike will be recovered. Troop homecoming celebration

Fort Hood officials invite the public to join a celebration to honor soldiers returning from service abroad. The event will be held from 3-8 p.m. June 29 at Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area at Fort Hood. More than 500 soldiers have returned over the past few weeks, and are expected to attend the event.
