LISD reschedules TAKS tests

The Texas Education Agency has announced that the agency will allow school districts to move high school Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills tests, which were scheduled for May 1, to April 27. The move is being made to avoid a conflict with the UIL Regional Track Meet scheduled for May 1.
In LISD, the following three tests are being moved to April 27:
- Tenth grade social studies
- Exit social studies
- Exit retest social studies
The eighth grade social studies TAKS test will be administered as scheduled May 1. All other tests will be administered as scheduled on the TEA 2008-2009 Assessment Calendar, http://www.tea.state.tx.us/index3.aspx?id=3635&menu_id3=793.
