Cedar Park, Leander ready for Independence Day celebrations

As residents of Cedar Park and Leander look forward to July 4, city leaders have been busy making sure attendees enjoy the celebration.
Cedar Park festivities will be from 4-11 p.m. at Elizabeth Milburn Pool, 1901 Sun Chase Blvd. The celebration will feature live music by Common Thread, Ulrich Ellison, Connection and Crossline.
A fireworks display sponsored by H-E-B will begin at 9:15 p.m., which will be followed by the “After Glow” country dance. Other activities include concessions, a washer tournament, a jazzercise demonstration, bingo, sack races, face painting and art projects.
Admission to the event is $3 (adults), $2 (students 9-17), $1 (seniors), free (children 3 or younger). For details, call 404-5500 or visit www.cedarparktx.us.
Leander Liberty Fest will be from 5-10 p.m. at Crystal Falls Golf Club, 3400 Crystal Falls Parkway. Parking for the event will be at Leander High School, with a free shuttle provided to the golf course. No public parking will be available at the course or along Crystal Falls Parkway.
The celebration will feature live music, activities for children, vendors, and a fireworks display that will start at 9:15 p.m. The Glen Collins Band will perform at 5:30 p.m., followed by Ponty Bone and the Squeezetones at 8 p.m.
