The second phase of The Domain opens Feb. 26

NORTHWEST AUSTIN — Phase II of Simon Property Group’s Domain project will open its doors on Friday to nineteen new retailers. Dick’s Sporting Goods, Dillard’s and Gold Class Cinema will anchor the second phase of the mix-use shopping center.

The 600,000-sq. ft. site will offer 136,000 sq. ft. of small shops and restaurants, 438 apartments and 78,000 sq. ft. of office space. Some of the new retail additions include: American Eagle Outfitters, Aeropostale, Bath & Body Works, Buckle, Bui-yah-kah, Charming Charlie, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Express, Finish Line, The Limited, Maggiano’s, Payless Shoes, Shasa Collections, Stride Rite, Sushi Zushi, VANS, Yogurt Planet and Zumiez.

“We’re very excited about our new store at The Domain,” said Jeff Hennion, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Dick’s Sporting Goods. “With the growing popularity in sports and outdoor activities here, we feel our great product assortment and quality service will meet and hopefully exceed the expectations of the people of Austin.”

To celebrate the opening of this new phase, The Domain is hosting a variety of activities in March and April:

• March 11–14: Dillard’s Grand Opening festivities
• March 26–27: Simon Fashion Now is a series of free runway shows and style-related events that emphasizes the fun side of fashion.
• April 3: Domain II Showcase Day features family-friendly entertainment, an Easter egg hunt, face painting and more.
• April 10–11: Domain II showcase weekend features DJ entertainment, gaming competition and scavenger hunts.
• April 17–18: Domain II showcase weekend features live music, prize giveaways, style and beauty demonstrations as well as restaurant sampling.
