Sunset Valley Farmers Market moves, new market added

In a surprise announcement, the Sunset Valley Farmers Market is changing its name to Barton Creek Farmers Market and will locate to a location at Barton Creek Square Mall, in the parking lot near Dillard’s. The market, which made the announcement Mar. 15, opens for business this Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be open every Saturday year-round rain or shine, as it had operated previously.

City sponsors “Fix a Leak Week”

In an effort to curb water waste, the city is hosting “Fix a Leak Week” March 15-21 to remind Austinites to check their household plumbing fixtures for leaks. According to the city, dripping faucets and leaky toilets can waste up to 90 gallons of water a day.
