ROUND ROCKThe Neighborhood Harvest Project and the Bahái Faith of Round Rock announced Nov. 9 that land has been secured for Round Rock’s first public community garden, which will be located at 2746 Gattis School Road. The grand opening of the Unity Park Community Garden is scheduled for spring 2010.

The garden will include community plots and growing areas that can support vegetables, herbs, flowers and small fruit trees. Other planned features include sitting areas, storage units and a central stage.

The Neighborhood Harvest Project plans to have a groundbreaking ceremony in coming weeks, but no date has been set.
