PFLUGERVILLEThe City of Pflugerville has narrowed the field of candidates for its vacant city manager position down to three finalists: Paul Hofmann of Kerrville; Steven Norwood of Prescott, Ariz.; and Brandon Wade of Galveston.

Chosen from a group of 89 applicants, all three candidates have experience working as either a city manager or deputy city manager for cities in Texas, and each has an advanced degree in public administration or urban affairs.

The city has been working with Waters-Oldani Executive Recruitment since June on its nationwide search for a new city manager, during which Assistant City Manager Lauri Gillam has served as interim city manager.

Interviews and site visits are scheduled during November, and officials expect the new city manager to begin his employment with the city in early 2010.
