New book depicts Pflugerville’s history in images

PFLUGERVILLEPflugerville historians will release a new book Dec. 1 that chronicles the city’s history in more than 300 photographs. The book, “Pflugerville: Another Time, Another Place,” illustrates how the Pflugerville community has evolved from a small farming town to a thriving suburb over the last century.

Authors Audrey T. Dearing, Vernagene H. Mott, Lois G. Shrout and Pamela A. Stephenson—a group that calls itself the Pflugerville History Diggers—collected historic and modern images from local residents over a five-year period. Stephenson works with Friends of the Pflugerville Community Library and is a contributing writer at Community Impact Newspaper.

The authors plan to sign copies of the book from 1-3:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 at the Heritage House Museum , which is located at 901 Old Austin-Hutto Road in Pflugerville.
