PFLUGERVILLE — Pflugerville Mayor Jeff Coleman plans to seek re-election to the office he has held since 2007. He intends to file his candidate application with the city by Feb. 9, he said.
Coleman, who operates a State Farm insurance agency in Pflugerville, has lived in the city since 2001. He serves on the executive committee of the Capital Area Council of Governments and is a board member of Envision Central Texas.
Local positions up for election May 8 include mayor and City Council Place 1, currently occupied by Councilman Wayne Cooper. The window to apply for a place on the ballot is open until March 8. To be eligible, candidates must have been registered to vote in Pflugerville for at least one year before the filing deadline.
Early voting will take place April 26 through May 4.
