Much like the secret service protecting the president, Trifusion COO and co-founder Steve Savage said he feels the company is at its best when people don’t even know it exists.

“We seamlessly integrate our services with our customers’ needs,” Savage said. “You won’t see our name on a lot of things, and we’re OK with that.”

Trifusion is described as a managed IT deployment provider, which means the company provides testing, assembly and customization for technology at many of the Fortune 500 companies in the region. Trifusion only works with businesses and does not serve consumers directly.

“We customize IT equipment for large businesses very similar to the way a consumer would customize their car,” CEO and co-founder Corey Bell said. “If you wanted to buy a new car with customized windows and a specialized stereo, the car company won’t take vehicles off the assembly line and add those features — somebody has to go back and add them. We try to customize the equipment to our customers’ specifications with a strong focus on providing great customer service.”

The company has experienced great success in a short period of time. Savage, Bell and Tim Ferchill founded Trifusion in October 2003. The trio had only known each other briefly, but cited their trust in each other and shared vision to meet customers’ every need as a large reason for the company’s prosperity.

“[They] know what I’m thinking and vice versa,” Bell said.

At the time of its inception, the company employed just its three founders. Today Trifusion employs approximately 150 to 200 workers nationwide at operations in Bentonville, Ark., and Salem, N.C.

The 80,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Round Rock serves as the company’s headquarters.

“Welike Round Rock,” Bell said. “It’s at the intersection of a lot of things. It’s a great artery, and on a personal note, it’s a great place to raise a family. Charley Ayres with the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce has been amazing reaching out to our needs and offering to help wherever we needed it.”

Savage said the only thing consistent in the technology field is that it is constantly changing, so Trifusion is continually adapting to its customers’ needs.

“Part of growing so fast is it takes a lot to evolve,” Bell said. “As the community continues to evolve, so will we. We’re always looking for great people to be a part of our team and great customers that we can assist in reaching their goals.”

Going Green

Trifusion has a long-term goal of becoming a zero-waste facility. To reach that goal, the company deconstructs all of the shipping materials that go through the warehouse and recycles all the cardboard, packing foam, shrink wrap and plastic. It also recycles its used soda cans and water bottles.
