Williamson County wants residents to donate supplies for soldiers

County leaders hope the public will help an effort to collect supplies for U.S. soldiers serving at Camp Taji, Iraq. Williamson County officials adopted members of the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade Headquarters Company, Fort Hood, Texas, in 2007.

Williamson County commissioners move forward with Great Oaks Drive extension plan

The Williamson County Commissioners Court voted March 11 to move forward with plans to extend Great Oaks Drive between RM 620 and McNeil Road in Round Rock. The construction budget for the project is estimated at $2 million, and plans could be finalized by the end of this year. Construction is expected to take 12 to 18 months to complete.

Seton, St. David's competing for STAR Flight headquarters
