Materials and installation

Decorating Directions

Find an inspiration piece: A fabric, a piece of artwork or even a large piece of furniture can help you determine a color scheme for a room.
Determine overall budget: Figure out how much you can spend on your project to give you an idea of where you can buy your new décor.
Reflect your style: Choose items you like.
Baby steps: A good order to follow for designing a room is: paint, replace flooring, choose furniture, add window coverings, then accessorize with art, lamps and rugs.

Landscaping Tips

Flowers, trees and shrubs: Late summer is too hot to plant flowers or any Texas native plants. However, late summer or early fall is a good time to plant trees such as Live Oaks, and also evergreens, hollies, Indian Hawthornes and Ligustrum.
Grass: Any type of grass should do well being planted in the fall, including St. Augustine and Bermuda grass.
Irrigation: Early fall is a good time to install sprinkler systems to allow the roots time to establish before the first freeze.
