Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival
This July Fourth, the shores of Lake Pflugerville are expected to have thousands of people in attendance at Pflugerville’s second annual Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival. Rain canceled it the first year, but last year, 12,000 people — twice as many as were expected — attended the celebration, causing massive parking-lot congestion. This year city officials have addressed the traffic issues and added new features to ensure a fun, family-friendly event for area residents.
The festival begins at 4 p.m. and has free admission. Guests can bring coolers with food and drinks. John Garr and the Hopeful Souls will perform at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Pflugerville ISD will also have a patriotic band performing from 8 to 8:30 p.m., followed by a fireworks display.

Frontier Days Celebration and Round Rock the Boat Regatta
From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July Fourth, Round Rock residents can enjoy a variety of activities for the entire family, from a patriotic parade down Main Street to a Sam Bass Shootout and a fireworks display at Old Settlers Park.
The event is free to attend. Pets are not allowed. Guests can bring coolers, but beer and wine will be available for purchase; no glass containers can be brought into the park. To ease traffic congestion at the event’s conclusion, Harrell Parkway will be a one-way road. Visit www.roundrockfrontierdays.com or call 218-5540.
