Williamson County hosts countywide transportation open house April 16

CORRECTION: In the Round Rock/Pflugerville edition released April 3, the date of the countywide open house was listed incorrectly. The meeting will take place April 16 from 2-8 p.m. at the Williamson County Courthouse in Georgetown.

Williamson County officials are seeking public input on the county’s transportation master plan, which will outline the framework for road construction and improvements until 2035. County commissioners will discuss the plan in open-house forums with their respective precincts, and a countywide meeting is scheduled for April 16.

Precinct Two Commissioner Cynthia Long will meet with the public April 6 at Pat Bryson Hall, 201 N. Brushy Street, in Leander. Precinct Three Commissioner Valerie Covey will attend her precinct’s open house April 7 at the Central Maintenance Facility, 3151 S. E. Inner Loop, in Georgetown. Both meetings will take place from 6-8 p.m.

A larger, countywide open house will be held April 16 from 2-8 p.m., in the Commissioners Courtroom in the Williamson County Courthouse, 710 S. Main Street, in Georgetown.

Open house meetings for precincts one and four were held in March.

County and city planners worked with engineering firm URS to develop the updated transportation master plan, which will be posted to the county’s website, www.wilco.org, in early April.
