Round Rock announces tax relief for owners of historic homes
By Community Impact Newspaper Staff Thursday, 09 April 2009
Owners of historic properties in Round Rock have until April 30 to apply for property tax exemptions. The program exempts 75 percent of the assessed value of the city portion of property tax, meaning that the owner would pay tax on only 25 percent of the assessed value. Other property taxes, such as school district taxes, are not affected by this program.
Applicable parties can obtain applications for the exemption at the Williamson County Appraisal District at 625 FM 1460 in Georgetown. More information about the program can be found at www.roundrocktexas.gov/historictax.
